The Meaningful Thoughts of Matthew Eleazar
Hi there!
I am Matthew Eleazar, a current Senior at Notre Dame studying Computer Science with a minor in Philosophy.
I built this blog website to showcase my skills in fullstack development and non-technical writing (my intellectual and philosophical side).
I’m a bit of a jack-of-all-trades, but trying to be a master of more than one.
I love music. Of the instruments that I can play, guitar is my primary (my love, my best) instrument. I also love playing percussion. I can reasonably carry my way through a drum kit and I also just joined the Notre Dame Drumline playing Cymbals for Marching Band and Bass Drum for Hockey Band. I can also, by virtue of playing guitar, play bass. I also used to play the Sousaphone (Tuba) for a year in Marching Band.
I write, record, engineer, and produce some of my own music — releasing under the pseudonym Zenchar. https://open.spotify.com/artist/1p0EnUpdnSR5wJUPIdtVKl
Tech-wise, I have found myself interested in Data Science and Bioinformatics, but I have found myself becoming more and more engaged in and gravitating towards UI/UX and Full Stack development with front end being my stronger suite.
I’ve slowly developed a very introspective and philosophical approach to life ever since I have been exposed to the writings of Shakespeare, Nietzsche, Freud, Jung, Machiavelli, and eventually professors such as Jordan Peterson. I am also a moderate psychology junkie, with a relatively unusual amount of knowledge about personality psychology and psychometric tests.
I built this blog website from the ground up using the Django MVC framework with sqlite3 as the database backend.
